10/9/2017 was my daughter's friend's Sweet 16 Birthday. Not her party, that is Saturday, but today she actually turned 16. So, after a long day on the 282nd day (palindromically, it was a good one at work, good meetings), I had to drive her over and sit and wait for her to give her friend her presents. As I sat, reflecting, in the car (today's musical inspiration was The Beatles Channel), I was inspired by the quality of my daughters' friends. She has many friends she would consider "besties" (as the kids are saying these days) and that makes me happy. I am glad to be still in touch with many friends from my youth, I am inspired to enjoy my daughter's developing hers and hope she stays in touch as well.
