So we have not had a Billy Joel post in a while and since, on the 233rd day of 2017, we traveled to NYC to see Billy on his "home court" (MSG), I think this is a good time for him to be the inspiration. And, on 8/21/17, as we sat and listened to his amazing music, I did find myself impressed and inspired at the talent, music, and words of this amazing artist. It was great to kick off Sarah's Birthday Celebration (10 days early, but that is when the concert was scheduled!) with good friends and great music. It was also interesting to note the subtle (and not so subtle) political statements Billy was making in his concert. He opened with this song (link below) which reminds us that, although the news may be rough, it has always been that way, been burning since the world's been turning. I am also inspired to remember that and, as we have in the past, we will see these issues through. And now, really late, I am off to bed - goodnight.
