Inspired to Speak Out

A lot was on my mind on the 226th day of 2017.  I read a lot on 8/14/17 (on FB and other sites) about the horrible events at Charlottesville this weekend and it has been hard for me to process it all.  And what I have decided I can do is speak out!  I am not sure how much of a protester I am and I do not have much influence in the political sphere, but I can post here, on my page, an unequivocal condemnation of Nazis, of white supremacism, of racists, of violence, of the Alt-Right, of hate, of anti-Semitism, of all that the hate-groups who descended on Charlottesville stood for.  I know that all of my FB friends do not share the same political views as I do, but I am pretty sure we all stand together in solidarity against these hate-filled ideals.  And, if we do not, I do not want you to unfriend me, I want you to talk with me.  In person, not online, and I want us to reconcile what has been going on.  I am inspired to have hard discussions, if necessary, and try to reconcile how others are feeling. It's the least I can do.
